This policy applies to the Leavely mobile app for iOS and Android ("the app") and to the Leavely website and web tool at leavely.org ("the web tool"), published by Leavely. Both help U.S. employees check their leave eligibility and plan their time off. There are no accounts, no ads, and no third-party trackers in either.
In the app: none. Everything you enter — your state, employer size, work start date, weekly pay, leave reason, and the days you mark on your calendar — is stored only in the app's local storage on your device and is never sent to Leavely or to any third party.
In the web tool: to calculate your eligibility, the web tool sends the inputs you enter (such as your state, employer size, hours, and a general leave category) to our server. We do not store those inputs, attach them to your identity, or use them to track you. We keep only anonymous, aggregate counts — for example, how many checks were run in a given state — to understand overall usage. Your specific leave reason is used only to compute your result and is not stored.
In the app, your inputs are used solely on your device to calculate estimates and display your calendar, deadlines, and pay estimate, and no one at Leavely can see them. In the web tool, your inputs are used only to calculate and show your eligibility result, then discarded; we retain only anonymous aggregate counts.
If you choose to add reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device for your leave deadlines. These are created and delivered entirely on your device. No notification content is sent through Leavely or any external server.
The core features of the app work offline and make no network requests. If you tap an external link (for example, to a state program's website or the Leavely web tool), your device's browser opens that site under its own privacy policy.
We do not share or sell your information, because we do not have it. There are no advertising partners, data brokers, or third-party trackers in the app.
Your data lives only in the app on your device for as long as you keep it. You can clear a plan at any time from within the app, and uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
The Leavely app is a paid subscription with a 7-day free trial, then $4.99 per month unless cancelled. All payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by Leavely. We never receive or store your card number or billing details. The app may check your subscription status through the App Store or Google Play so it knows whether your subscription is active; this status check does not identify you to us. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, subject to those stores' terms.
The app is intended for working adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Leavely provides general information and estimates about leave programs. It is not legal, medical, or financial advice, and eligibility and amounts are determined by your employer and the relevant program.
